KISTS Your Business ------Your Bottom Line Difference

Keep It Simple then Simplify

If You make one process simpler, set up one system that shares know how, make a client feel more valued by prompt, correct service - would that mean you put more money in your pocket?

KISS insults you. You are not stupid but when things get complicated, someone is lying. When was the last time the person trained on the photocopier was away and the paper jammed. How much time did you or your staff spend trying to solve the problem.

Who is Roberta?

Roberta has never done things in a conventional way. At birth, she was one of two white babies in the local hospital on an Indian Reservation in the Pas Manitoba. Later she moved to Ottawa, where her school years included winning speaking competitions, and doing directing for the school plays. She worked selling stationery as a teenager and always had enough money to buy nice Christmas presents for her family.

With her husband and two sons, she came to New Zealand in 1981 and worked in sales and marketing for 10 years while completing a degree in Business.

In 1989, Peter & Roberta did their first keynote for a conference of owners in a national retail chain. The topic: Business Planning

It was followed by a presentation at a conference on Business Ethics. The topic: Putting Ethics and Standards into a Small/Medium Enterprise.
They may sound different, but they both had the same overall theme: Creating a Business with Purpose. Since then Roberta and Peter have presented at several other conferences and meetings throughout the 90s on SMEs and purpose. Their book Do or Die was a product of the experiences gained during the early 90s based on research started in 1970 by the Department of Labour in Canada.

From 1997 to 2009, Roberta was involved with tertiary education and all her speaking and workshops were delivered to students, staff and family to help them achieve their goals and make a difference in their lives

Its 2010, and she is back delivering keynote speeches and facilitating workshops.
A systems person, Roberta believes that keeping it simple then simplifying is essential to people and know how management. When things get complicated and when people try to obfuscate (to confuse, bewilder, or stupefy), then someone is likely to be lying or making themselves important

Roberta brings over 30 years business experience including training new businesses, coaching new businesses, starting up and turning around businesses in manufacturing, education and retail to her work with You! With Peter she has co-authored business ebooks & books including: Do or Die, My Mama Done Told Me, Cassandra’s Instant Answers, Smell the Coffee, and the Keep It Simple then Simplify Ebook Series which includes the 10 Characteristics of an Ideal Business

What others say

“Whilst I appreciate that Roberta has many students, she has still been able to make me feel like my situation is unique (to me) and has made time for me, which I have valued immensely. “
Karen Newitt Jan 2010

Most importantly, she believed in each of us and gave each of us relevant individual attention when it was needed. This was the most significant factor in giving me the confidence to successfully complete the course.
Rossanne Dutta 2010
